Seedlings

After the first Apache seedling popped its head out of the soil, another one did. Since then, maybe prematurely I have re-potted them. As usual I became rather eager to plant more of my seeds.

I have 3 seedlings from the seeds I planted 2 weeks ago. Two of the Anaheim/HHW (Hungarian Hot Wax) seeds have germinated and I have 1 Santa Fe Grande seedling. To save on space I may end of re-potting these very soon as well. I have been quite overambitious with the amount of space I have.

I have also planted 5 other types of chillies. These are Aji Lemon, Super Chilli, Golden Cayenne, Peruvian Purple and Serrano.

Big change in one day!

One of the Apache seeds has germinated and poked its head out of the soil. A second seedling is not far away. Looks like my Heated Propagator investment was a good one!

Unfortunately I have a crappy camera so the picture quality is quite rubbish!

New equipment

Due to the harsh cold weather of late, germinating seeds has been a difficult process. To help me with this task, I have purchased a Heated Propagator. I didn't spend any major dollar on it, just got a nice simple one from B&Q.

My Apache seeds that I planted 3 weeks haven't done anything. I don't expect them to now, it was just too cold. I have places them inside my propagator (left container in above picture).

I planted some more seeds today as another test for the conditions. I choose 2 of each Santa Fe Grande, Bulgarian Carrot and Hungarian Hot Wax / Anaheim. Unfortunatley due to my stupidity at the end of last year, I mixed up the HHW and Anaheim seeds.

My other 5 plants haven't shown much change, they are struggling on as usual. I need some warm and sunny weather!
